📌 Use this article to understand why your sports bet was voided on Betify, what happens to your stake, and which situations can or cannot void a bet. This article covers sports bets only, not casino games.
What happens when my sports bet is voided?
When your Betify sports bet is voided, it is cancelled and your stake is returned to your Betify balance in full. A voided bet is settled at odds of 1: it is neither a win nor a loss. Voided bets appear in the Cancelled tab of My Bets.
Why was my bet voided after a match was interrupted?
If a match is interrupted and not finished within 48 hours of its official start time (local time), all Betify bets on that match are voided. Bets still stand if their result was already decided before the interruption, or if they cover a period of the match that was fully played before the interruption.
For tennis, bets are only voided if the tournament is officially cancelled or postponed. A delayed or suspended tennis match does not void bets, however long it lasts.
Why was my bet voided after a match was delayed or cancelled?
If a match is officially cancelled before it starts, all Betify bets on that match are voided. If a match is delayed, the following rules apply:
Most sports, including football, rugby and handball: the match must be rescheduled within 12 hours of its original start time and must start within 48 hours of its original start time. Otherwise, all bets are voided.
Ice hockey, basketball, American football and baseball: bets are voided if the match does not start within 48 hours of its original start time.
Tennis: bets are not voided because a match is delayed, however long the delay. Bets are only voided if the tournament itself is cancelled or postponed.
What other match situations void a sports bet?
All Betify bets on a match are also voided in the following situations:
Unusual match format: the match is played with a non-standard number of periods or duration, without prior notice.
Tournament format change: the format of a tournament changes completely compared to its initial structure. Only bets on the affected markets are voided.
Forfeit or walkover: the match is considered finished without being played. For tennis, markets whose result was already decided stand and are settled normally.
Friendly match ended early: the referee ends a friendly match before 80 minutes of play.
Can Betify void my bet because of an error?
Betify can void a sports bet in the following cases:
Obvious odds error: your bet was accepted at odds containing a clear mistake, such as a typing error or a technical error.
Bet accepted after the start: your bet was accepted by mistake after the event started, outside live betting.
Wrong information displayed: the market showed a wrong score, a wrong match time (more than 5 minutes off, or 2 minutes for basketball), a missing red card, or wrong team names.
Software error: the bet was placed by using an error in Betify's software.
Integrity reasons: the bet is linked to match-fixing, automated betting systems or manipulation of the betting market.
Why was a selection removed from my Combo bet?
If a selection in your Betify Combo or System bet is voided, it does not cancel the whole bet. The voided selection is removed, and your bet continues with the remaining selections at their combined odds. If all selections are voided, your full stake is returned.
A Combo bet with two related selections from the same event is voided, for example a team to win its league combined with the same team to win the deciding match.
Why was my Over/Under bet voided?
An Over/Under bet on Betify can be voided when the line is a whole number, such as Over 3.0 or Under 3.0. If the total number of goals equals the line exactly, your bet is voided and your stake is returned. Lines ending in .5, such as Over 3.5, can never be voided: the result is always a win or a loss.
For example, with 3 goals scored in the match:
Over 3.0: voided, stake returned
Over 3.5: lost, 4 goals or more were needed
With 4 goals scored in the match, both Over 3.0 and Over 3.5 win.
Which situations don't void a sports bet?
The following situations don't void a Betify sports bet:
A spelling mistake in a team, player or tournament name, if the event can still be identified
A change of venue, unless the rules of that sport say otherwise
A wrong date or time displayed on Betify: dates and times are for information only
A decision changed after the result was settled: once a market is settled, the result is final after 72 hours
A bet placed by someone else on your Betify account is not covered by these rules.
